Written to a Mrs. Jamison, with sincere apologies for a miscommunication, in large part: "I am afraid between Leharf and myself you were treated very uncourteously last week in regard to the Salisbury Meeting. But I must say in my own defense that I did not understand from his note that he had deputed me to answer it, and, not having any information more than he could give himself I did not write. Perhaps you will forgive us for we were both in a hurry..." Horizontal and vertical folds; very good(+) condition.
