Tall thick 4tos, very beautifully bound in contemporary full maroon straight-grained morocco, with ornate gilt and blind-stamped covers, gilt-stamped spines raised bands, inner dentelles, a.e.g. London: Longman, Hurst, Rees, Orme and Brown, 1814, 1817. A very handsome pair, with some foxing, mostly at margins.

I've been looking for another copy of "West of the Indus" for nearly twenty years (I know, it's such a cultural wasteland out here in the provinces), and I never expected to find one with a dust jacket.
