Description: Three documents, all in Cleveland's hand and each with a signature as commissioner of deeds of the Superior Court of Buffalo, NY. The documents pertain to a lawsuit by the Clinton Bank of Buffalo against Josiah Cook, Eli Cook, and John Pierce. Included is a partially printed two-page summons and complaint, along with a partially printed two-page judgment roll, and a handwritten one-page process server's affidavit. Five total pages, 4to (attached to each other with a wax seal), Buffalo, NY, June 17 to July 9, 1859. Very good condition.

Comments: Together with a 1957 letter from a Buffalo attorney attesting to the documents' source and authenticity.
