Comments: A description of the diseases prevalent in Vienna from July 1758 to June, 1759 inclusive, intermittent fevers, hydrops, icterus, scurvy, scabies, arthritis, erysipelas, diarrhea, etc., with therapeutic and post-mortem observations. - Stoerck (1731-1803), an assistant and later successor to van Swieten, was one of the most prominent representatives of the Old Vienna School. A great champion of emetics, he did some careful work in pharmacology and toxicology. Blake p. 433.
